Every Chores Away partner must complete a New Zealand criminal record check before their profile goes live. The check confirms your New Zealand criminal record history and identity.
The Ministry of Justice check is the default option and is free when you apply directly through the official service. Veritas Check is an optional paid alternative if you prefer a simpler online process.
Ministry of Justice processing can take up to 20 working days. Veritas Check may be faster, so check its current processing time before applying.
Your vetting result is confidential. It is reviewed only by the Chores Away Ops Manager, stored securely under the Privacy Act 2020, and never shared with clients.
